Gumasa Beach

Gumasa Beach is located at Glan, Sarangani province, just about an hour's drive away from General Santos City.

Gumasa boasts of a six-kilometer white beach on a crescent-shaped cove on the eastern shore of Sarangani, facing the Celebes Sea. Because of its fine, powdery sand reminiscent of Boracay’s White Beach, it has earned the name “Small Boracay of Mindanao” by the locals and travelers alike.

However, most visitors point out that it is like Boracay from 20 years ago, before it became the highly-commercialized party island it is known today. Gumasa Beach still remains relatively quiet compared to the other beach destinations in the country, which pack crowds of tourists. It is regarded to be a perfect spot for just chilling out on the beach and enjoying its rustic, laid-back vibe.
